Overview
3D Pen School Workshops bring hands-on STEAM learning to your classroom, assembly, or after-school program. Students design, build, and take home their own 3D-pen creations, guided by our trained Tech Coaches in a space built for curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Elementary Classrooms (Grades K-5)
Perfect for classroom visits, science fairs, and after-school STEAM clubs. Students design and build their own take-home 3D pen creations while learning real engineering concepts.
Middle & High Schools (Grades 6-12)
A deeper STEAM experience for older students. Groups tackle more advanced techniques, design challenges, or a mini competition that builds real engineering and problem-solving skills.
Special Events & School Assemblies
Perfect for school assemblies, library visits, STEM nights, and teacher in-service days. A fun, hands-on activity that brings STEAM learning to life for the whole school community.

All Materials Included
Every student gets their own 3D pen, unlimited filament, and a design template to work from — no supplies to buy or bring.

Trained Tech Coach Included
A friendly, experienced Tech Coach runs the whole workshop — teaching techniques, keeping things safe, and helping every student finish a project they're proud of.

Take-Home Creations
Every student takes home the 3D pen creation they made — a hands-on keepsake and a great conversation starter about what they learned.

Pricing

Literacy, Letters and Comprehension
3D pen activities can also support literacy development by allowing students to create letters, words, names, symbols, characters, and visual representations connected to classroom reading.
Activities may include:

Supporting Classroom Learning Through Hands-On Design & Engineering
3D Pen Party™ experiences can be customized to reinforce district learning goals while giving students a creative, hands-on way to demonstrate what they understand.
Our two strongest areas of instructional alignment are mathematics and literacy.
Math and Geometry
Students can use 3D pens to explore mathematical concepts by designing, measuring, building, testing, and revising physical objects.

Students do more than complete a worksheet. They use mathematical thinking to create an object, identify problems, make adjustments, and explain their design decisions.
Examples include geometric sculptures, architectural structures, bridges, cubes, pyramids, models, and collaborative design challenges focused on overcoming the challenges each of these projects present.

Build the Strongest Bridge
Students use 3DPens to engineer bridges that span a two-foot gap before testing them under increasing weight. Every test reveals valuable lessons about design, reinforcement, and structural engineering.
#3 Party Bots™ Engineering Challenges
Circuits & Robotics 101
Participants use 3DPens to design and build their own vibrating robot before competing in exciting engineering games such as Speed Runs, Knock the Flag, Last Bot Standing, and Battle Royale. Teams redesign and improve their bots between rounds using the real engineering design process (EDP).
